After inflicting 12 blows to the face and neck, a 45-year-old inmate of the psychiatric clinic of the General Hospital of Corfu killed a 63-year-old patient.
The bloody incident took place on Thursday evening (31/8) around 22:00 in the psychiatric clinic of the General Hospital of Corfu. Under unclear circumstances, one of the patients killed a woman who was also being treated there. An alarm was immediately raised, doctors and nurses of the clinic were called, who testify to the police.
A forensic pathologist was also called, and the first autopsy showed that the woman’s death was caused by 12 blows to the face and neck using a pen and a wooden fork. According to the director of the hospital, Ms. Englezopulu, this is a tragic incident and an investigation has been ordered.
The investigation was taken over by the Crime Laboratory of the Sub-Directorate of Security of Corfu.
