Robot Sophia commented on her fall from the steps in Thessaloniki

Gynoid Sofia, who fell down the steps “in front of all the honest people” a few days ago, decided to comment on the event because her fans were very worried.

First a humanoid robot in the form of a woman (gynoid), developed by the Hong Kong company Hanson Robotics, capable of imitating social behavior and evoking emotions in people, was embarrassed. An unpleasant situation happened in Thessaloniki a few days ago. Sofia arrived in the northern capital of Greece for the international exhibition of digital technologies and innovations Beyond, where “things took an unexpected turn.”

In a video posted on social media, the robot is seen walking forward and, not noticing the steps in front of it, falls face down, thereby shocking the public.

Many were concerned about the fall that prompted Sofia to upload a video to TikTokto appease his fans. Robot Sophia's message to the Greeks: “I am completely fine and fully functional.”

The gynoid continues: “What is certain is that we have a lot in common. Thank you very much for the interest, wonderful hospitality and love you have shown me, and I look forward to returning to Greece for new adventures, perhaps less dangerous.”

In addition to the surprises in Thessaloniki, the robot Sophia had another unfortunate moment in Crete, when she publicly declared that “the island can become an autonomous state.” In particular, as Neakriti reports, the robot Sofia, who was held in Heraklion as part of the III Olympiad in Robotics, made such a comment after questions asked to her by journalists.

When the robot Sophia started talking about the Cretan diet, she noted “what a blessed place this island is”, then went on to say that it is self-sufficient in all areas, and then suddenly declared, saying that “Crete could be… an autonomous state.”
