The father of a girl who was attacked by an Iraqi with a knife on the central Athens street Ermou speaks of her poor psychological state.
Nicoleta is afraid to be alone at night, and her first words after she came to her senses were: “Is he in prison?”
21 year old girl remains in the intensive care unit Evangelizmos Hospital after an operation on Saturday: she suffered a ruptured diaphragm and a serious lung injury, as well as a broken rib, writes newsbeast.gr.
The criminal will be taken to the prosecutor today, Monday, to testify. As our publication wrote earlier, he told the authorities: “The girl was a spy and was following me. I stabbed her with a knife to get rid of her.”
“This incident worried us all because we had never seen anything like this before. The criminal will be brought to justice, and all his data will be checked. His statements are incomprehensible and it does not appear that he had anything to do with the victim,” said Nikos Rigas, vice-president of the Athens Police Union.
The arrested person is a 32-year-old man originally from Iraq, who arrived in Greece via Serbia with a German passport, literally the day before. He told the police that the girl was an agent and was following him.
