Three children were injured when plaster fell on their heads at an Athens school.


Three primary school students were injured Friday morning when plaster peeled off from a school ceiling in an Athens neighborhood and fell on the young students.

It all happened at Petralona Primary School 149 in Athens, during the second break. Suddenly, a large piece of plaster fell from the ceiling of the front landing on the top floor and landed on the children. Fifth and sixth grade students suffered minor injuries, media reported.

The incident occurred in an area several kilometers south of the city center during the first week of the new school year. The school management informed the parents of the injured and shocked students, who came to the school and picked up their children.
