Two Turkish citizens were arrested for espionage. They are accused of conducting surveillance of military installations in Greece.
According to preliminary information, the arrested were conducting surveillance in Poros using a drone. Last Saturday, September 16, two unknown persons launched a drone over naval facilities in Poros. The Turkish citizens were soon discovered by patrol officers and arrested.
The arrest took place in a hotel in Monemvasier. The foreigners were first taken to the local police station, where interrogation took place. After which competent employees of the National Intelligence Service (EYS) took over the case.
