Thousands of dead crabs littered the shore in the Cotihio lagoon in the municipality of Andravida-Killini, the cause of their death is unknown.
Experts call the incident a major environmental disaster – in the wetland, thousands of dead crabs either swim in the swampy water or are thrown onto the shores of the lagoon.
How writes patrisnews, the cause of their death remains unknown – whether it was caused by environmental pollution, or by disease or human intervention, as a result of which the crab populations were trapped and could not find a way out.
