Weather forecast: air temperature approached +30°C

A detailed weather forecast was provided by the Athens National Observatory EMY.

The maximum air temperature in the country exceeded 29 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was recorded at the weather station in Trikala and was +29.3°C.

Mostly the weather is clear with rare clouds. Cloudy by afternoon (in the highlands of central and northern Greece). Localized showers and possibly isolated storms will occur in the mountains of Macedonia and Thrace. Clouds will also thicken in the west of the country in the evening. Visibility in the west will be limited in some places this morning. The wind is variable from 3 to 4 points and only in the southern seas – westerly, in some places up to 5 points on the Beaufort scale.

Air temperature is +24–25°C (on the islands), +26–28°C on the mainland and locally 29 degrees in the eastern part of Greece.

ATTICA

Weather: mostly clear, slightly cloudy at times.
Wind: variable from 2 to 4, south/southwest in the afternoon, 4 on the Beaufort scale.
Air temperature: from +14 to +27-28°C.

THESSALONIKI

Weather: mostly clear, occasional clouds, cloudy in the afternoon (mostly in mountainous areas).
Wind: Variable and light, south/southeast 3 to 4 Beaufort this afternoon.
Air temperature: from 13 to 25°C.
