Student housing allowance increases to 1,500 euros: who will receive 2,000 euros

Speaking at the opening of the 86th ΔΕΘ, Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced important measures to help students.

In an effort to support students in reducing their housing costs, which they must pay, the Prime Minister announced that the allowance from 1,000 euros for all university students will increase to 1,500 euros. As he noted, in fact, from now on Cohabitation will be subsidized by the state, as cohabitants will receive 2,000 euros per person.

At the same time, Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced a financial support package for low-income pensioners, vulnerable social groups such as people with disabilities, the uninsured elderly and the long-term unemployed.

In December, Guaranteed Minimum Income (EEE, KEA) recipients will receive a “bonus” just like A21 Child Benefit recipients. Payments will be similar to the amount issued to these categories of citizens for Easter.
