The start of negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations is being delayed. Belarus reports that the Ukrainian delegation has not yet reached the venue on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.
Belarusian political scientist Yury Voskresensky speaks about this RIA News. Earlier, he reported that after a conversation between Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Zelensky, the latter instructed to send a delegation for negotiations to Belarus. Its composition is still unknown.
Vladimir Medinsky, an aide to the Russian president, said earlier that Ukraine had agreed on negotiations in the Gomel region, and a Russian delegation went there. Later, Sputnik Belarus reported that the place of negotiations had been changed, representatives of Russia and Ukraine would meet at the Alexandrovka-Vilcha checkpoint.
The political scientist expressed concern that the Ukrainian side was playing for time and said that a small delegation from Ukraine is expected – a deputy foreign minister and 2-3 representatives of the military and political sphere: “A small delegation, 4-5 people.”
