For 16 days, Omonia Square will be illuminated for Christmas and will turn from December 17 to January 1 into a winter wonderland, where a new exciting holiday will take place – the Christmas Market.
A new commercial entertainment event, organized on the eve of the holidays, will fill the city center with glitter, music and good mood. Visitors will be offered delicious delicacies, souvenirs and plenty of entertainment for everyone young and old.
The official opening of the Christmas market on the square. Omonia will take place on Sunday, December 18 at 17:00. The Mayor of Athens Kostas Bakoyannis will give a speech, and after the solemn part a concert will take place. The magical atmosphere of the holiday will be felt by everyone who visits the square from December 17, residents and guests of the city.
