A serious incident occurred on the beach “Της Γριάς το πήδημα” (Andros Island). A Greek Air Force helicopter arrived to rescue a teenager who was hit by a boat while swimming in the sea, the Coast Guard said.
The teenager was taken from the island and taken to Elefsina, from where an EKAV ambulance transported him to the hospital. According to preliminary information, a 15-year-old teenager was diagnosed with an injury to his left hand. He was initially taken for first aid to the island’s medical center by a 33-year-old boat driver who is currently in custody as part of a preliminary investigation. And only then a helicopter was called in to deliver the wounded to the mainland of Greece (to Elefsina).
The juvenile was diagnosed with a bruise of the upper limb (arm and shoulder), but nothing threatens his life. The guy was hospitalized as a precaution, for a full medical examination of his state of health and the appointment of the necessary treatment.
