New case of fraud: attackers received 42 thousand euros from an old woman

Cases of elder fraud continue throughout Greece. Kozani law enforcement agencies are investigating a case of deception and theft of funds from an 86-year-old woman.

As the victim reported, an unknown person approached her and said that her relative had committed a traffic accident, which resulted in the death of a pedestrian. The deceived elderly woman gave the unknown person 80 English gold coins with a total value of about 32,000 euros, 10,000 euros and 1 gold chain worth about 100 euros.

After a police investigation and proper use of the data, the details of a 42-year-old foreigner were identified and a criminal case was filed against him. The Kozani Police Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the case.
