Several dozen killings of civilians have already been documented by the NYT in Bucha, the chief prosecutor of the International Tribunal in The Hague visited the site of massacres.
The New York Times reports that correspondents for the publication interviewed dozens of witnesses and observed the work of investigators in order to uncover the extent of the atrocities. The report from Bucha became a symbol of violence and confirmation of war crimes against the civilian population of Ukraine during the Russian special operation.
The West and Ukraine accuse the Russian military of massacres, Russia denies the accusations.
