The TASS website and a number of other major Russian media outlets were hacked and posted a picture indicating the “number” of dead Russian soldiers who invaded Ukraine. After that, the sites were disabled.
“5300 dead Russian soldiers in Ukraine in 4 days”. The statement says that this is more than in the Second Chechen War (1994-1995), the report says.
The picture also contains a call to the Russians to stop fighting and “not to send their sons and husbands to certain death.”
Information about the hack was confirmed to the journalist by RIA Novosti, the editor-in-chief of Kommersant. The hack was also confirmed by Forbes.
Russia does not report exact figures on the dead, but declaresthat the data specified in reports of the Ministry of Defense of UkraineI have nothing to do with the real losses of the Russian army.
