Negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Belarus have been going on for more than four hours

Negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine have been held in Belarus for over 4 hours, a correspondent of RIA Novosti reported.

Moscow is represented by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin, head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky and Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov.

From Kyiv, Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov, head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia (in a cap and T-shirt), Deputy Foreign Minister Mykola Tochitsky, Advisor to the Head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak, Verkhovna Rada Deputy Rustem Umerov, First Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Delegation to the Trilateral contact group Andrey Kostin.

Ukrainian media reported that the meeting was over, but this information was denied. It has been going on for over four hours.
The parties agreed on negotiations the day before. The Russian delegation arrived in Belarus and stated that it was ready to wait for the representatives of Kyiv until 15:00, the consent of the Ukrainian authorities became known a few minutes before the expiration of this period.

At the moment, the third and, apparently, the last round of negotiations has begun.

At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he “does not really believe” in the results of the negotiations.
His office said that the main issue was an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of troops from Ukraine.

Putin told Macron that a settlement with Ukraine is possible only if Russia’s legitimate security interests are unconditionally taken into account, including:

recognition of Russian sovereignty over Crimea demilitarization and denazification of the Ukrainian state ensuring the neutral status of Ukraine
