Massive anti-war protests against the war in Ukraine took place in Athens

On February 26 and 27, mass rallies were held in Athens to protest against the war in Ukraine. Representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora, Greeks, representatives of the diasporas of Georgia, Belarus, Albania and other countries took part in them.

The first protest took place in front of the Consulate of the Russian Federation in Athens on Saturday 26 February 2022.

All participants of the action supported the establishment of peace in Ukraine and an urgent stop to the war, and also called on Russia to withdraw all troops from the sovereign territory of Ukraine.

The second action, much more massive, took place on the central square of the capital of Greece on Sunday, February 27th. Several thousand people took part in the action.
