In connection with the pandemic on the eve of the holidays, stores will change their working hours. They will be open from 10 am to 9 pm Monday (11/22).
The decision was made, as announced by Sotiris Anagnostopoulos, Secretary General of Trade of the Ministry of Development and Investments, in order to avoid overcrowding in the sales area.
As the Secretary General said, this applies to places open to everyone, that is, pharmacies, supermarkets, grocery stores (butchers and fish shops, pastry shops, bakeries and wine cellars). In addition, there is a limit on the number of people who can be in the room at the same time (set limit: 1 person per nine square meters).
When asked what to do if the owners or employees of commercial and entertainment establishments are not vaccinated, the secretary general stressed that they must also comply with the prescribed regulations (covid tests) and also need to use a mask.
The authorities will closely monitor compliance with measures to combat the coronavirus. Violators will face hefty fines.
