Unidentified persons blew up an ATM installed on the facade of a supermarket in the Ovria district of Patras at night and managed to take an unknown amount of money.
According to the police, the attackers, riding a motorcycle and wearing helmets, planted an explosive device immediately upon arrival at the supermarket. At the same time, they realized that there was a man nearby at the door, a security guard at a construction site (being carried out nearby), and asked him to “move away.”
They then bombed the ATM, stole an unspecified amount of banknotes and fled on a motorcycle. The explosion caused damage to the supermarket. Security officers investigating the case took statements from a man who was near the supermarket and are checking CCTV footage.
