An earthquake of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale occurred around midnight on November 18, 24 km from the city of Igoumenitsa, in northwestern Greece.
According to seismologists, the earthquake is characterized as moderate. Tremors were recorded at 23:04 on 18 November. The focal depth is estimated at 10 km.
After the main shock, there were two more minor aftershocks with magnitudes of 2.8 and 1.9 on the Richter scale.
No damage or casualties were reported.
