Attention! Chicken roll is dangerous to eat

The Greek Food Supervisory Authority ΦΕΤ, and in particular the Attica Regional Office, are urging consumers not to eat chicken roll (processed meat) as it has been found to contain the pathogenic bacterium Salmonella spp.

EFET and the regional office of Attica are starting to withdraw chicken roll from the market. The statement reads: “Ε.Φ.Ε.Τ. and the regional office of Attica, during the inspection, took food samples to determine the presence of pathogenic microorganisms. In a semi-finished meat product called “Frozen chicken roll”, batch number 33100921, production date 09/10/2021 and consumption date preferably before 09/10/2022, net weight 1.22 kg, produced by ANGELAKIS SA (“Ρολό Κοτόπουλο Κατεψυγμένο” : 33100921, ημερομηνία παραγωγής: 09/10/2021 και ημερομηνία ανάλωσης κατά προτίμηση πριν από 10-09-2022, καθαρού βάρους 1.22 kg

EFET demanded an immediate recall / withdrawal of the entire batch of the above product from the sales market, and the corresponding control measures are already being carried out. We ask consumers who have already purchased chicken roll from a specific batch not to eat it. “
