New aggravation in the north of Kosovo

It all started with the morning raids of the Kosovar security forces in the city’s pharmacies, and ended with a burst of machine-gun fire at the Serbs who took to the streets in protest.

“In the early morning hours, a police operation began, with the aim of realizing the strategic goals of preventing criminal activity, especially the smuggling of goods. The operation is being carried out in the region of Pristina, Pecs, South and North Mitrovica, ”the message says.
“All police actions are carried out in coordination with the competent prosecutor’s office and courts, and relate to checks and searches at various locations, such as houses, residential and office premises, warehouses.

As a result of intensive actions and professional work of the Kosovo police and customs, various goods were seized that served as material evidence, ”the Kosovo police said. That is, the order of the Kosovar Prime Minister Albin Kurti is being implemented to reduce the supply of goods from central Serbia to Kosovo. In addition, the most brutal operation is necessary for Kurti to improve her image before the upcoming elections.

Dozens of wounded, six hospitalized. One is in critical condition in intensive care after a gunshot wound to the back. Alexander Vučić urgently left for Raska, the Serbian army was again put on high alert. Not even two weeks have passed since the statement by Miroslav Lajcak that the parties “reached an understanding”. Earlier, he proudly said that during the negotiations the parties came to an understanding. Until 19.00 Saturday, the ROSU special forces must withdraw their forces from the contact line, and the Kosovo Serbs must remove the barricades.

We have a deal! After two days of intense negotiations, an agreement on de-escalation and the way forward has just been reached. I thank Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petkovic for their readiness to negotiate and agree for the good of the people. pic.twitter.com/OuhuUWvuG0

Naturally, everything was presented as if no “truce” would have been achieved without the titanic efforts of Washington and Brussels.

I thank @StateEUR and DAS Escobar, who spent the last days in Brussels, in support of the EU-facilitated Dialogue. EU-US unity is key for success in the Western Balkans. pic.twitter.com/1qBMJCFQSC
