Belarus is ready to fight, having adopted a new doctrine

Belarus has updated its military doctrine, providing for the possibility of sending its military to the territory of a CSTO member country to help its allies.

The military doctrine also mentions Ukraine, and, in particular, talks about sending military personnel. This is stated in the text of the military doctrine of the Republic of Belarus:

“Belarus considers it possible to provide military assistance to friendly states on the basis of bilateral and multilateral international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, in particular, sending military personnel to participate in relevant activities to maintain international peace and security.”

The document states that Belarus considers any actions using military force directed against members of the Union State as an encroachment in general and “will take appropriate retaliatory measures using all forces and means at its disposal.” RB will be ready, writes “Correspondent”, to provide any assistance, including military assistance, to a CSTO member country in the event of aggression against it.

Ukraine is also mentioned in the military doctrine. Belarus believes that the “collective West” provoked a “military conflict” in Ukraine and allegedly created a hotbed of tension near Belarus in the near future:

“Further support for it and obstruction of a peaceful settlement create the preconditions for its escalation and gradual expansion of the number of participants… These trends increase the likelihood of the Republic of Belarus being involved in an international armed conflict.”
