Two men tried to rape a 44-year-old woman at knifepoint. The victim of the attack was taken to hospital

Police officers from the Kaminia-Neo Faliro Division have opened a criminal case against two unknown men who are accused of attempting to rape and inflicting dangerous bodily harm on a 44-year-old woman.

Early on Saturday morning, two unknown men approached a woman who was waiting for her husband on Alipranti Square on a motorcycle and tried to rape her at knifepoint. However, after her cries for help, the attackers fled in an unknown direction.

During the attack, the woman was stabbed in the stomach. The victim was taken to Asklepion Hospital (Voula) to receive first aid. Police are conducting a preliminary investigation.
