Zakynthos police have arrested a 27-year-old Albanian man who forcibly terminated the pregnancy of his 19-year-old girlfriend.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening in Zakynthos when he picked up the girl from her home. The “lady of the heart” was in her second month of pregnancy. Taking her to his home, he tied her up, beat her and forced her to take abortion pills. The next morning he takes her to the Zakynthos hospital, where she is safe but suffers a miscarriage.
Following a complaint, officers from the Zakynthos Police Department arrested the man. The abuser will be taken to the prosecutor’s office on charges of domestic violence, termination of pregnancy, causing dangerous bodily harm and theft after he took his partner’s mobile phone.
