A woman was found dead in an apartment in Exarchia. "We wanted to commit suicide"- said her partner

The tragedy occurred at noon on Thursday (22/2) in an apartment in Exarchia: a man called the Greek police and reported that his partner was dead.

According to him, the woman suffered from cancer, and they both decided to commit suicide by cutting their wrists. A 57-year-old man called the police at noon from Komninon Street and said: “Come, my wife is dead!” He was injured and taken to the hospital.

According to initial information, a note was found with the following content: “Our bodies give nothing more, but the soul and the fire will never die, and that is why we chose freedom! Farewell to the unjust, the fugitive and the gullible. See you at the fire.”

However, it will be the medical examiner who will provide the answers, as all scenarios are currently being considered:

• The first is that the man was telling the truth, and they both really decided to end their lives.
• The second is that he killed a woman and subsequently tried to commit suicide.
