Chainsaw massacre in Trikala: son cuts father into three parts and tries to dispose of body

After the call from the 46-year-old parricide, the police, who rushed to the place they had indicated by phone as the crime scene, were faced with a terrible sight.

They saw his 76-year-old father lying decapitated on the ground, his head next to his body, and the criminal had also cut off his father’s hands. Most likely, this was an attempt to dismember the body and get rid of it – however, it was unsuccessful, because when he saw that he was not succeeding, he informed the authorities and confessed to the murder. It is noted that the man also injured himself with a chainsaw and was subsequently taken to hospital with a deep neck wound.

The perpetrator, who claimed psychological problems, allegedly claimed he stabbed his father to death after they had an argument with each other. His words were supported by evidence indicating that there had been a previous fight and that the victim also suffered blunt force trauma to the neck. Police officers are working at the scene of the tragedy and an investigation is underway.

The heinous crime became known at noon when the perpetrator confessed to the brutal murder of his father. In his telephone conversation with police, he said that he had blood on his hands because he was experiencing serious psychological problems.

According to him, he killed the unfortunate man 48 hours ago in a craft workshop on Karditsis Street, which they owned together. At that moment he did not say anything to anyone. The son beheaded his father and then cut off his hands with a chainsaw. The police who arrived at the scene found out that the criminal had told them the truth.

“I have psychological problems. Come and get me. I killed my father.”. These were allegedly the first words of the parricide from Trikala in a phone call he made to the emergency services, according to information from the website thesstoday.gr. According to latest reports, the arrested man is being treated at Trikala Hospital while police are continuing their investigation.
