An 11-day-old child died, how the tragedy occurred

The parents of a newborn in Volos are beside themselves with grief because they did not even get to celebrate the baby’s birthday.

According to local website TheNewspaper.gr, the tragedy began the previous morning, after a sleepless night when their 11-day-old child cried non-stop and could not be calmed down.

For this reason, the couple turned to the pediatrician. The baby’s condition rapidly deteriorated, and the doctor insisted that he be taken to the city hospital. Doctors, having examined the child, began intubation, and at 10:30 the little patient died.

The information states that the infant did not have COVID and did not have a cough, shortness of breath, sore throat or any other obvious symptoms. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of his death.
