Stunning images of the first full moon of 2024 show the mesmerizing spectacle in the sky on Thursday night (25/1).
The January full moon is also called the “Wolf Moon” because the loud howling of wolves can be heard during this phenomenon. People used to think that wolves howl in winter because they are hungry, but now it is known that the reasons can be very diverse. Wolves howl to find other pack members, strengthen social bonds, mark their territory, and coordinate hunts.
The January full moon is also known by the following names: “Central Moon”since it occurs in the middle of winter; “Cold Moon”, “Ice Moon” And “Harsh Moon”
