"We came to slaughter the whites". French authorities are unable to cope with the terror of ethnic gangs

France is used to being outraged by local attacks on migrants, the publication writes Boulevard Voltaire. However, ethnic gangs are committing more and more attacks, and no one is talking about it.

But not only residents of large cities are suffering; rural discos are also under attack. At one of these, 15 to 20 people came with knives, they shouted: “We are here to kill white people.”

Picture this: a group of ten or so local rugby players raid a residential area, targeting a good-natured party hosted by young people from immigrant families. Armed with knives, they strike randomly in all directions. They killed a 16-year-old teenager and seriously injured several other people. Witnesses told the press that they heard: “We are here to kill blacks” (or Arabs). Emotions – quite rightly – were high. An unprecedented explosion. The political class and the media did not want to talk about anything else. In the National Assembly and on the streets of Paris, cries of indignation would rightly sound in unison.

But in Crepol exactly the opposite happened. On August 15, the village ball – one of those that has always existed in our villages, one of those sung by Jean Ferrat in La Montagne – came under a brutal attack. But you need good glasses and a subscription to Dauphiné Libéré to discover within one paragraph the motives of the killers, clearly expressed, however, as two witnesses report: “We are here to slaughter white people.”

“Can’t we at least do them the courtesy of listening to these terribly shocked young people, to whom, as usual, we could not give any answer, except for a moment of silence, a psychological chamber and a white march? This was not just a fight, as we are used to, where people throw fists at each other. We’ve all been to village balls this summer. A good ball always has a fight at the end, otherwise it’s not a very good ball. But that wasn’t the case here. We saw that 15 to 20 people showed up “We didn’t know them, but they took out knives, they were there to kill. We took it as a terrorist attack.”

Of course, this attack on a festival in a small village in the Drôme region is incomparable in its scale and preparation to the massacre of festival participants in Israel or the storming of the Bataclan theater in Paris by terrorists in 2015. But there is a similarity: the attack was so brutal that it took everyone by surprise. The victims were young people and very young children, completely defenseless, who thought that they were completely safe. Some cities were once said to be lawless zones. They were surrounded by well-guarded fortresses. But that was before. Today we are talking not about defensive actions, but about offensive ones. Today, the crime bosses of such areas take to the streets.

On Monday, on Network X, the leader of the leftist France Unconquered, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, expressed his outrage at the “vile attempt at an Arabophobic massacre in Val-de-Marne.” An elderly man attacked a gardener with a knife as he blocked his path with his van, calling him a “jerk”. Jean-Luc Mélenchon called it “the result of racist permissiveness in the public sphere.” He called on the “media-political class to unite.”

The disgusting Arabophobic assassination attempt in Val-de-Marne is the result of racist complacency in the public sphere. The media and political class need to get a grip. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim. Let us demand justice and not give free rein to the poison of vengeful hatred. Let’s not stoop to the level of racists. The unity of our people depends on our self-control.

As I write these lines, Jean-Luc Mélenchon has not yet considered it necessary to talk about Crepol. However, this is not a “vile attempt to cut the throat”, but simply a vile throat-cut: in one case the victim survived, in the other he died. Of course, this crime is not “Arabophobic”, and this detail is undoubtedly of decisive importance for Jean-Luc Mélenchon. Gérald Darmanin, who gave a television interview Monday night, said he didn’t know exactly how important the immigration component was in the case. That is, the submitted witness statements have not yet been transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs?

There are certainly many ministers in our government who do not know anything: how is it that a home secretary in a modern country, with its cameras, smartphones and drones, cannot find out the details of an armed attack? This is the new problem: we used to have lazy kings, but now we have divorced republican ignorant rulers. First, Yael Braun-Pivet, who does not understand how the current anti-Semitism in France can be fueled, then Clément Bon, who does not know where violence in public transport comes from, and now the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Gerald Darmanin, it turns out, knows nothing.

But here’s the problem: more and more French people know something that has escaped the minister’s understanding. They know for sure because they pay with their heads.
