More than 38,000 applications have been accepted for the programs “Εξοικονομώ 2023” and “Εξοικονομώ – Ανακαινίζω για νέους”

To participate in the programs “Εξοικονομώ 2023” (Savings 2023) and “Εξοικονομώ – Ανακαινίζω για νέους”(Savings – renovation for young people) The Ministry of Environment and Energy received 38,228 applications.

The total budget for applications was EUR 510,135,056. The application process closed at midnight on Wednesday (15/11) and shortlists of successful applicants will be announced shortly.

More specifically about the expressed interest in each program

“Εξοικονομώ 2023”:

The program “Εξοικονομώ 2023” with a total budget of 422,105,074 euros received 31,549 applications from all regions of the country. In particular, 2,701 applications were submitted from the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, 5,822 from Attica, 482 from the Northern Aegean, 2,922 from Western Greece, 1,854 from Western Macedonia, 2,190 from Epirus, 3,670 from Thessaly, 277 from the Ionian Islands region, 6,362 from Central Macedonia, 1538 from Crete, 563 from the Southern Aegean, 1557 from the Peloponnese and 1611 from Central Greece.

“Εξοικονομώ – Ανακαινίζω για νέους”:

The program “Savings – renovation for young people” received 6,679 applications from all regions of the country, the total budget amounted to 88,029,982 euros. It should be noted that 3836 out of 6679 applications relate to the renovation part of the program, as it offers the opportunity to completely modernize housing (energy, functional, aesthetic).

Of the total applications submitted, 496 came from the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, 1,752 from Attica, 124 from Northern Aegean, 530 from Western Greece, 270 from Western Macedonia, 288 from Epirus, 577 from Thessaly, 62 from the Ionian Islands region, 1631 from Central Macedonia, 341 from Crete, 127 from the South Aegean region, 237 from the Peloponnese and 244 from Central Greece.

Categories of interventions

In general, the programs support the following categories of activities. The programs “Εξοικονομώ 2023” and “Εξοικονομώ – Ανακαινίζω για νέους” are supported by the Recovery and Resilience Fund, and are aimed at promoting national and energy policies EU in the field of energy saving, by increasing the energy class of households by at least 3 energy categories (more than 30% primary energy savings). Part of the program “Ανακαινίζω” is also supported by funds from the Public Employment Service (PES).

Energy Saving

It is expected that the total investments of the “Εξοικονομώ” programs will contribute to energy savings of at least 213 thousand kW per year and energy repairs of at least 105,000 houses by 2025. Within the framework of the “Εξοικονομώ” programs, special attention is paid to supporting vulnerable households, which is reflected in an increase in the subsidy rate and the allocation of a separate budget.
