Market Pass: when will the next payments be and who is eligible?

Submitting applications for Market Pass extended until January 8. Assistance will be provided until January 15, and digital cards will be valid until February 29, 2024.

As for residents of areas affected by weather events in September, they will receive additional benefits and double the amount for November and December. The benefit is set at 10% of monthly purchases up to €1,000, starting at €22 per month for single-person households and increasing by €10 for each additional household member. The specified purchase limit does not apply to recipients with more than 6 dependent children.

For those seeking assistance by issuing a digital debit card or depositing funds into a bank account after October 31, 2023 and before January 8, 2024, assistance is forwarded to the banking institution for credit to the digital debit card or payment by January 15, 2024. Let us remind you that the new decision extends the validity period of digital debit cards on which financial assistance is paid until February 29, 2024.

The above is provided for by a joint ministerial decision signed by the Ministers of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis, Interior Niki Kerameos, Development Kostas Skrekas, Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou and Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Thanos Petralias.

Applicants who submitted an application by October 31 were given the opportunity to cancel before this deadline or change their assistance details (by credit to a bank account or digital card). It is emphasized that it is impossible to change them later.

For those applying after October 31, 2023 and before January 8, 2024, the ability to cancel or change the above information is valid until January 8, 2024, when the application is finalized and cannot be changed later.
