Child benefit: who will receive an increased payment in December

It is expected that from December child benefit “CUSTODY” will increase by 150%. In particular, one and a half of the child benefit is set in the amount of 105, 63 or 42 euros for each child, for the first and second, depending on the level of income, and in the amount of 210, 126 or 84 euros for the third and each subsequent child.

Under the new rules, a family with two children receiving a benefit of 140 euros will receive 350 euros before the holidays. It is noted that now most of the benefits DYPA And OPEKA will be paid to a prepaid card, with a cash withdrawal limit of up to 50% of the amount of each benefit. The card will be issued by the bank where the benefit recipient has an account. The prepaid card will be used to pay for most DYPA benefits such as regular unemployment compensation and OPEKA, for example:

  • minimum guaranteed income (MMI) and child benefit.
  • child birth benefit.

For using the card and for the remaining 50%, benefits are provided like the AADE tax lottery (a joint project with the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, integrated into the Recovery Fund). This simplifies the process of payments from various organizations and increases the number of electronic transactions in favor of government revenues.

It should be noted that there are some exceptions to payment via a prepaid card, the main ones being disability benefits and rent assistance.
