Criminals used a crowbar to break into a store selling animal feed and other products in Heraklion. Although the alarm siren sounded continuously, the robbers managed to steal several thousand euros from the cash register.
The business owner could watch the intruders’ movements live from his mobile phone through a video surveillance camera. A video camera recorded two men with their faces covered breaking into a branch of the company located in Rethymnon at around 10:30 pm on Monday evening, October 9. But all he managed to do was call the police.
It was established that the criminals broke into doors and window frames. Having entered the sales area, they stole an unspecified amount from the cash register and drawers, which, according to store managers, amounts to several thousand euros. As sources told ERT, during this period the company was purchasing agricultural products, so large sums were available, which the attackers took advantage of. The authorities of Heraklion are looking for robbers.
