Two tourists, a married couple, were found dead in Canada’s Banff National Park in Alberta after being attacked by a grizzly bear.
In a statement from Parks Canada, writes CNN Greece says they received an alert from a GPS device late last Friday indicating a bear attack in Red Deer Valley National Park.
Adverse weather conditions made it impossible to use a helicopter, so the response team walked all night to the scene, where they found two victims.
The area was blocked off and the team began to euthanize the bear, which was behaving extremely aggressively. Banff National Park, which attracts more than four million tourists each year, is home to grizzly and black bears.
What happens when bears attack, readers with strong nerves can see in this selection of tough footage (NOT RECOMMENDED FOR VIEWING BY CHILDREN).
