According to public reports, the tragic incident occurred on September 29 on Gornaya Street in Yalta. The killer turned out to be 60-year-old Shavkat. He admitted that he beat the couple with a bat. He hid the bodies on the ground floor, and he began to search the house of his victims. During the search, police found scattered items and torn documents.
The dead were found only a day later. The police were called to the address by a family friend who began to worry that the couple was not in contact.
According to the arrested person, the family who came from the Dnepropetrovsk region said that Crimea was Ukrainian and criticized the Russian authorities. Shavkat “could not stand it” and decided to commit murder, after which he left Yalta for the village of Veseloye, where he was detained.
However, some publics express doubts about the political motives stated by Shavkat for the murder, given that he had already been convicted before, writes edition “Country”.
