Social household tariff KOT: don’t miss the chance to apply


Current beneficiaries of the social housing tariff (SHT) for electricity consumption must re-apply by October 30, 2023.

The validity period of the COT has been extended as the deadline for filing tax returns has been postponed. Applications for the KOT tariff are submitted within two months after the deadline for filing tax returns. Since tax returns are due by August 31, 2023, applications to join the ITC must be submitted by October 30, 2023.

To join the new social tariff for households, interested parties must apply on the IDIKA website (at the online address www.idika.gr/kot/) with TAXISnet codes.

According to the information provided by IDIKA for the KOT applications and the Vulnerable Customer Registry, the following applies. Citizens can submit an application at any time during the year (after canceling an application already submitted). After two months from the end of the deadline for filing tax returns (from 07/31/2023 to 09/30/2023), those of the active beneficiaries who have not submitted a new application, will be automatically excluded.

Social housing tariff 2023: all steps to submit a new application

Step 1: When you log in, you will be asked to confirm your AMKA and consent to the processing of the necessary data (yours, your spouse and your dependent children).

Step 2: After you agree, a form will appear containing some of your personal information. Select which tariff you would like to apply for.

Step 3. You must fill in the electricity meter number. You are also required to provide an email address and mobile phone number that will be used to send notifications. KOT-B program. If there are also adults in your family or household (you indicated “guests” living with you on your tax return), to check whether you meet the criteria, their consent is required to access their Taxisnet system data (from the AADE side).

Step 4. For KOT-A applications you must have an approved KEA application, approved within last two months. If you are a KEA beneficiary but your application was approved more than 2 months ago, you must apply for amendment to KEA. For CTO-A, guest consent is not required as it was provided by KEA.

Step 5: Once all required consents from adult members of your household have been given and all required fields have been completed, information will be displayed indicating whether you qualify or not.

Step 6. To become a beneficiary, you you need to press a button [Подать заявку]. If you qualify for COTS, the four-month consumption limit also appears for billing purposes. Otherwise, the reasons for rejecting the application are interpreted in detail.
