Black smoke enveloped the Acropolis, the smell of burning all over Athens

The sky of Athens was covered with smoke from a fire that unfolded at the foot of Mount Parnitha in Fili.

The smell of burning managed to reach Faliro and spread throughout the city. With the first rays of the sun, it became clear that a curtain of smoke covered the sky.

The titanic fight against fires will continue today on the fronts of Mount Parnitha. The fire element is raging for the fifth day in a row in Alexandroupolis, Rhodopes and Kavala. In Fili, there are rules for restricting traffic.
