A large fire broke out today in a car park on Papaflessas Street in Aspropyrgos. Around 12:30 a fuel truck caught fire, and a minute later the fire spread to a second parked truck.
The media reported that several more trucks caught fire and explosions were periodically heard.
Nine fire engines and 35 firefighters with 13 fire trucks and municipal water tanks are trying to put out the fire.

By 4:30 p.m., the fire department announced that the fire had been partially brought under control.
By 19:00 the fire was completely extinguished.
There are no reports of casualties or deaths.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
