Due to the heat of the Cleon, the hours during which you can visit a number of public places have been reduced.
For safety reasons and to reduce the risk of fire on Sunday 16 July all parks under the jurisdiction of the Attica region will be open to the public only in the morning (7:00-11:00) and evening (19:00-23:00).
Fire risk level in Attica exceeds 4*. By order of the governor of the region, Georgios Patoulis, the work of the parks Tritsi, Pedion tou Areos (Field of Mars), Finopoulou Hill and Attiko Alsos (forest park) will be limited.
Citizens in the morning and evening hours, a period when the temperature is not so high and the risk of fire is limited, will be able to visit the parks. Volunteers will offer refreshing drinks.
Concerning parks from the beginning of the week, when high air temperatures are expected to prevail againthe authorities noted that a new announcement would be made officially based on the evaluation of the meteorological forecast.
*2 class – low fire hazard; Grade 3 – medium fire hazard; 4th grade – high fire danger; Class 5 – emergency fire hazard.
