Thessaloniki airport: forced landing of the plane – Russian passengers “attacked” the crew

Problems during a flight from the UK to Turkey forced the pilot to land at Macedonia Airport in Thessaloniki.

During the flight, two Russians who were on board the aircraft showed aggressive behavior towards the flight attendants, causing outrage. According to the police, due to a security breach of the flight, an emergency landing was made at the state airport of Thessaloniki “Macedonia”. During a search of the place where the troublemakers were located, empty bottles of alcoholic beverages were found.

Two men from Russia were detained by the Police Department of Thessaloniki State Airport. A criminal case has been initiated against them for dangerous interference with the movement of aircraft, ships and aircraft, violation of order and other violations of the Air Code.
