A child, playing on the beach, found in the sand … human remains

The child screamed heart-rendingly when he saw a terrible find when, while building a sand castle, he dug up human bones and a skull.

As it became known to grtimes.gr, at noon on Saturday, the family was relaxing on the beach of Agios Mamandos in Halkidiki. Everything was fine until the moment when the parents heard the cry of their child playing nearby in the sand. Running up to him, the parents realized that the minor had unearthed human remains. The police were immediately called to the scene.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and the bones and skull have been taken away for examination. The New Mudanya Police Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the shocking incident.
