Mitsotakis: "Let’s renew the agreement on the truth"

“Four years after the triumph of 2019, we meet in the same place. A few hours before the new great victory of the Southwest. All Greece, all Athens are blue*,” said Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking at a New Democracy rally in Thisseo .

The Prime Minister noted that this rally is much larger than the one he held in 2019. He mentioned the crises the government was facing and the stakes “that we won and came out on top again.” He said that four years ago “we laid the foundation, and the day after tomorrow, on the day of Constantine and Helena, we will continue to build a new Greece.”

The Prime Minister spoke of an unprecedented blue river.

“Your overwhelming presence is not only incomparably greater, but also incomparably more dynamic than in 2019. From the same position, I emphasized then that the protection of borders and the solution of the problem of migration are important for us, because Greece has borders that need to be protected. Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed that he would not stop trying until this agreement on truth will not be the final treaty for a better future for all.

“On Sunday night, New Democracy will be the first government to win its second major victory in four years, facing everything,” Mitsotakis said.

“National defense is an end in itself.”

“What we promised, we did,” he said, adding: “Today we can say that we said and did them. We pay 50% less taxes, we have been relieved of the burden of 7 billion ENFIA, reduced the first rate, canceled the solidarity contribution, and parents give their property to their children free of charge. We are a great people’s party with a social footprint. We support the community.”

He stressed that 300,000 new jobs were created, the minimum wage was raised from 650 to 780 euros, and pensioners received an increase for the first time in 12 years.

Speaking about the economy, he said that we are one step closer to the investment level. “With a ‘New Democracy’ government, I guarantee that this will become a reality in the first 100 days.”

He emphasized that national and European borders exist, no matter how some people pretend not to see them, and said that the fence in Evros is expanding.

The Prime Minister mentioned the strengthening of the armed forces and the revived shipyards. “For us, national defense is an end in itself.”

He noted that “we did not stand still on the diplomatic front”, that we are an international energy center and the voice of Greece is heard. “What we said, we put into practice,” he repeated.
