A man and a woman staged a showdown and tirelessly “argued” for fifteen hours in a row. It happened when a man came to Volos from Athens to visit his beloved.

However, after an argument about whether to stay together or not, threats made against each other and infliction of bodily harm, both ended up in the police station. 48 year old man and 42 year old woman sentenced Volosskiy Court for Administrative Offenses to 6 months suspended sentence and a fine of 500 euros.

As it became known, the man lives in Athens, and the woman lives in Volos. Since July last year, they have become a couple (both divorced, have three children from previous marriages). On Saturday morning, the “groom” came from Athens to Volos to see his beloved, and booked an apartment for them where they could meet and talk, as well as discuss plans for the future and life together in a relaxed atmosphere.

The man in his statement said that the woman looked at his mobile phone and saw something that she did not like. As a result, they quarreled. Then the lady tried to leave with the man’s phone, but he did not let her go. According to him, she hit him on the wrist with a mobile phone (although the woman herself denies this).

The man also said that she insulted him and began to threaten that she would inform his ex-wife “about everything.” He also testified that they have been living in tension lately, the woman is causing “a lot of trouble”, and he does not want to have anything to do with her, does not want to come to Volos anymore and asked to punish her.

The woman on her side presented a very different picture., saying that on Saturday afternoon, when they entered the room after dinner, he took her mobile phone and locked himself in the bedroom. Having found there photos and videos of personal moments, with her and her relatives, he started a scandal.

The showdown continued until dawn, and then, tired, they went to bed. However, in the morning around 9, she again started an argument with the man, notifying him that she was going to take his mobile phone and tablet and give them to the police. The man flew into a rage, clung to the hair of “this bitch”, began to hit her on the head with a mobile phone, then grabbed a mop. The woman defended herself with a heavy metal candlestick, threatening that if he approached her, she would “knock out his teeth.” Also in the heat of the moment, according to the woman, the aggressor uttered threats against the children, which horrified her.

The woman was unable to leave the room and took advantage of the opportunity shortly after 2:30 am on Sunday when the man ordered coffee to be delivered. Then the woman came out, locked him in the room, filed a complaint with the police, and then went to the hospital.

The district attorney, according to magnesianews.gr, said that if a few days had passed, perhaps the point of view would have been different on both sides. He estimated that the two people would be together again after some time and offered to punish them, according to the indictment.
