180 Wizz Air passengers are in Athens for the second day, as the plane, which was supposed to operate the Athens-Abu Dhabi flight on Monday at 18.20, encountered a technical malfunction and had to get up for repairs.
According to the publication “Ethnos”, the passengers stayed overnight at the hotel, but have not yet departed. At the moment, they have returned to the airport of Athens, where they have been for about 2 hours. It is expected that the flight will take place during the day, but the plane did not take off until 21:00.
It was for this reason that earlier there was tension among the passengers, as a result of which the police were called to the exit where they were waiting. She advised passengers to contact the Civil Aviation Authority to be informed of their rights and the airline’s obligations towards them.
