Despite the fact that the Mitsotakis government has unilaterally declared war on Russia, Moscow, through the Russian embassy in Athens, congratulates Orthodox Greece on Christmas.
The Russian embassy posted a religious postcard depicting Christmas celebrated by Orthodox Russians to highlight to the Greeks the unbreakable bond that unites the two countries.

The postcard has its own meaning and is addressed to the Greek people, reminding them that Russians and Greeks are Orthodox Christians and have much more in common than Greece could have with the West. She reminds the Greeks that she does not identify them with the choice of the Mitsotakis government.
I wonder what the reaction of the Greek government will be. It is noted that three months ago, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking on the Bloomberg channel, referring to Turkey and Erdogan’s RT, declared: “We don’t need another source of geopolitical instability in the Eastern Mediterranean when we are at war against Russia and trying to support Ukraine.”
Later, the aunt of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, an influential politician and former Greek foreign minister, made similar statements. Dora Bakoyannisas well as one of the government ministers.
The Mitsotakis government sent a huge amount of military material to Ukraine, which it took from the islands, partially disarming them and creating a serious security problem.
