A tourist has been found who disappeared on Mount Dirfi during a rain and thunderstorm that swept through Greece. The 36-year-old man called the fire department’s emergency services on Wednesday evening to say he had gotten lost in the storm and was trying to get to the Dirfi shelter on the island of Evia.
Shortly thereafter, his cell phone went dead. The search and rescue operation began.

The search for the missing man was resumed with a Super Puma helicopter and drones on Thursday morning. Around 12 noon, the missing tourist contacted the authorities again, saying that he had spent the night in the village, where the locals offered him shelter.
