The egregious incident with the beating of a student by his teacher occurred last Monday at the 65th high school in Athens.
According to the news outlet iefimerida.gr, after a call in connection with the incident, police officers immediately arrived at the educational institution. There they were met by the victims – a minor student with his mother. The child, according to the complaint, was attacked by the teacher.
Police officers determined that the 15-year-old had marks on the left side of his neck, on his left shoulder and on his right palm. The minor told the police that in the school yard, after a skirmish, he was attacked by an angry teacher. Law enforcement officers detained a teacher who was charged with inflicting bodily harm on a minor student of the school.

According to the information, during the lesson, a 9-year-old student took it into his head to misbehave, and he pretended to “drive a car, turn the steering wheel”, making the appropriate sounds.
Outraged by the arrogance and uncontrollable behavior of the student, the teacher behaved inappropriately. According to eyewitnesses, she interrupted the lesson and urged the students to “punish the troublemaker”. “Get up and give him a couple of cuffs so that he stops doing this,” the teacher suggested to her students, according to witnesses. Despite the children’s reaction and initial shock, they were forced to obey the teacher’s order and started hitting their classmate even on the head. “Good guys, sit down!” the teacher said to the obedient guys after the end of the public beating. The scene of violence was over as soon as the bell rang for recess.
It is noted that the student’s parents have already filed a lawsuit against the teacher. For his part, the school principal acknowledged that the case had indeed taken place at the school and that the cause of the teacher’s misconduct was “carefully studied.” The Ministry of Education also asked for an investigation into the egregious incident. At the same time, the competent services of the administration confirmed only a few days later that “the student was beaten in the classroom at the request of the teacher throughout the lesson!”
