Racist attack on food delivery man. He was severely beaten by the driver of the car. Only thanks to the intervention of passersby was it possible to avoid the worst.
The victim is a 36-year-old man, a migrant worker.
The attack occurred on Monday 22 April at around 10:30 pm while a migrant worker was delivering food in the Agios Dimitrios area of southern Athens.
According to the complaint of the Movement against Racist and Fascist Threats KEERFAthe victim was riding his motorcycle when the driver of a white Smart car with his headlights off cut him off.
When the victim shouted to him: “Turn on your headlights!”the driver got out of the car and attacked the worker shouting: “A Pakistani guy came to turn on my headlights? F*ck Pakistan, F*ck your mother” and began to brutally beat the victim.

The intervention of passers-by prevented the worst, as bystanders noticed that the driver was carrying a knife, KEERFA reports.
Police on motorcycles arrived 15 minutes after the criminal left. But the details of his car, as well as the video recording, were handed over to the police already on the spot.
The courier filed a complaint with the police department against racial violence.
KEERFA condemned the apparently racist attack and said in a statement that the driver was apparently trained in boxing.
“This racist attack is not an isolated incident, but part of a larger increase in attacks, especially against migrant workers.” – added to KEERFA.
