Israel: half a thousand new cases of COVID, no deaths

Over the past day, 500 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus have been registered in Israel. There are no lethal outcomes.

The number of active patients rose to 2,766, the highest rate since April 15. The number of severely ill patients increased to 35 (+1 per 24 hours). In the absence of deaths, the number of deaths during the pandemic did not change, 6429 people.

In the country, according to AMPE, more than 5.65 million are vaccinated, or 60.6%. The Israeli Ministry of Health announced yesterday that the effectiveness of Pfizer / BioNTech in the period June 6-July 3, to 64%, compared with 94.3% in the time period May 2-June 5. Experts attribute this to the spread of the Delta mutation, which is significantly more infectious. However, Pfizer vaccine is 93% effective in preventing death and severe illness.
