The final rehearsal for the Victory Parade took place on Red Square in the Russian capital. On May 9, the parade will also take place in 28 cities across the country.
How tells Euronews, columns of military equipment and military personnel of various branches of the military marched along the central streets of Moscow in preparation for the parade in honor of the 79th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. Traffic in the city center was blocked.
Military equipment drove along the main streets, military personnel, crews from Suvorov, Nakhimov, cadet and music schools, Youth Army members, Cossacks, participants in the so-called “special military operation” and law enforcement officers, and a combined military orchestra marched in a column. The rehearsal ended with an aircraft flyover.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that more than nine thousand people and over 70 pieces of equipment would take part in the parade.
